Asian Animals Set of 9
These animal replicas are of the highest quality in both sculpture and painting. Ages 3yrs+.
Incudes:
1 x Proboscis Monkey
Fun Fact: Further adding to the dimorphism is the large nose or proboscis of the male, which can exceed 10.2 cm (4.0 in) in length, and hangs lower than the mouth. Theories for the extensive length of their nose suggest it may be sexual selection by the females, who prefer louder vocalisations, with the size of the nose increasing the volume of the call. Measures 12.5 x 4.8 cm.
1 x White Tiger
Fun Fact: A white tiger's pale coloration is due to the lack of the red and yellow pigments that normally produce the orange coloration. Measures 16.2 x 7 cm.
1 x King Cobra
Fun Fact: The jaw bones are connected by pliable ligaments, enabling the lower jaw bones to move independently. This allows the king cobra to swallow its prey whole, as well as letting it swallow prey much larger than its head. Measures 14.5 x 5 cm.
1 x Giant Panda
Fun Fact: Pandas rely primarily on spatial memory rather than visual memory. Measures 4.5 x 9.5 cm.
1 x Asian Elephant
Fun Fact: Asian elephants are highly intelligent and self-aware. They have a very large and highly convoluted neocortex, a trait also shared by humans, apes and certain dolphin species. Measures 15 x 8.5 cm.
1 x Wild Water Buffalo
Fun Fact: Clans are led by old cows, even when bulls accompany the group. Several clans form a herd of 30 to 500 animals that gather at resting areas. Measures 12.8 x 12.1cm.
1 x Orangutan
Fun Fact: Orangutans are “gardeners” of the forest, playing a vital role in seed dispersal. Measures 10.7 x 10cm.
1 x Komodo Dragon
Fun Fact: The Komodo dragon is an endangered species of monitor lizard. It is native to some Indonesian islands east of Java. It is the world's largest lizard, growing up to 3 meters and over 70 KG (!) in weight. It's known for its ability to kill prey with its septic saliva. A truly scary creature which you do not want to encounter in the wild. Measures 11.9 x 4.3cm.
1 x Siberian Tiger
Fun Fact: Tigers live alone and aggressively scent-mark large territories to keep their rivals away. Measures 16.2 x 7cm.
