Dinawan Dreaming Outdoor Mat 3m

'Dinawan' is the Wiradjuri word for the Emu, a significant bird in the culture, stories, and daily life of the Wiradjuri people of central New South Wales. 

Australian Aboriginal artist, De Greer Yindimincarlie, of the Wiradjuri Nation, describes her latest design 'Dinawan Dreaming' - "We come together to learn about life and its cycle, survival, and respecting everything in the environment around us. We yarn, and learn about our landscape, the sky, its stories and how everything is connected.” 

Made from recycled polypropylene sourced from plastic bags, plastic drink bottles, and medicine bottles, these mats ensure that you are celebrating both the planet and multiculturalism. The 'Dinawan Dreaming' mat in earthy colours is 3m in diameter, so large enough for a sizeable gathering or yarning circle, but light enough to carry and fold up for transport or storage. Move it from your art space or reading corner to a shady spot outside at lunchtime. It's soft and comfortable, but equally sturdy.

De Greer-Yindimincarlie is an Australian Aboriginal woman from Wiradjuri country in central western New South Wales and is the owner operator of Yindi Artz – Authentic Aboriginal Creations. De is an educator and multi award winning artist working in many mediums including paint, music, graphic and textile design, resin and wood and film.
