DOMInext - Fruit & Vegetables

DOMInext – Fruit & Vegetables is a new, innovative twist on the classic domino game, designed to strengthen early numeracy through flexible thinking and discussion.

Each domino card shows a number on the left and a picture on the right. Within each picture, several quantities may be hidden, allowing the image to be interpreted in different ways. It is up to the player to decide which quantity they see and to explain their reasoning. If the quantity they identify matches the number on the previous card, the domino can be placed.

For example, an egg box picture may represent:

1 brown egg

5 white eggs

6 eggs in total

All interpretations are valid as long as the player can justify their choice, encouraging rich mathematical conversations and collaborative play. DOMInext – Fruit & Vegetables offers a fresh and engaging way to explore numbers, where thinking and explaining are just as important as finding the match. Players: 2–4. Box measures 25 x 19.5 x 6cm.
