Vista - Positioning Game
The Vista – Positioning Game is a hands‑on spatial reasoning and positioning resource that challenges children to observe, interpret, and reconstruct structures from multiple perspectives. Through engaging, game‑based play, children explore how objects look from different viewpoints and how position and orientation affect what is seen.
Children begin by selecting an assignment card and reconstructing the building on the wooden game board. The game can be played in two ways:
- Carefully observe the board, rotate it if needed, and place the animals in the correct positions, or
- Place the animals first according to the assignment, then analyse the structure from all sides and construct the building accordingly.
This flexible approach encourages children to think critically about perspective, location, and spatial relationships while strengthening communication and fine motor control. Box measures 33.5 x 22.5 x 7cm. Ages 3yrs+.

Key Educational Benefits
- Develops Spatial Awareness and Insight; Children learn to understand position, orientation, and how objects appear from different viewpoints.
- Recognises Multiple Views of Structures: Supports the ability to interpret front, side, and top views of block constructions.
- Encourages Interpretation of Schematic Information; Assignment cards introduce children to reading and understanding schematic and symbolic representations.
- Builds Understanding of Positional Language; Reinforces maths concepts such as in front of, behind, left, right, beside, and on top of.
- Strengthens Visual Memory and Observation Skills: Children must carefully observe, remember details, and compare structures.
- Enhances Fine Motor Skills; Handling animals and blocks improves hand‑eye coordination and control.
- Supports Communication and Collaboration: Group play encourages discussion, explanation of choices, and cooperative problem‑solving.
- Promotes Logical Thinking and Problem‑Solving: Children analyse information, test ideas, and adjust constructions as needed.
