Water Table
This mobile sand water table offers many possibilities for role play and a first contact with science. Children love to play with sand and water and this table will allow them to explore and learn while having fun.
The portable design makes this sand and water table ideal for educators to move around the classroom or playground. The grid at the top allows for multiple students to interact and play together on either side of the table. When children gather around the table, they can use the accessories provided to make water flow in different directions. This allows them to work as a team and develop problem-solving skills.
The multiple levels also allow for lots of workspace. The design of the portable table allows children to have hours of fun but only use a minimal amount of water. Simply fill the lower basin and start pumping with the spout and the water is recycled over and over. Use accessories such as buckets and scoops to pour into the funnels and watch as water runs down the hose. At the end of the day, the water can be used on the garden or veggie patch.
Children love to play and experiment with water, sand and pebbles and observe how they behave in different situations. They can for example find out how water changes directions when they redirect its flow.
Set includes 2 hoses,2 funnels, 1 Octopus water sieve, 2 seesaws. 1 Starfish Water Toy, 1 Crab Water Toy, 1 Jug.
Measures 117L x 58W x 110cm H. Ages 3+ years
Key Educational Benefits
- Introduces Early Science Concepts (STEM): Children explore cause-and-effect, gravity and water flow as they pump, pour and redirect water through funnels and hoses.
- Develops Problem-Solving Skills: Experimenting with how to move water in different directions encourages critical thinking, planning and trial-and-error learning.
- Encourages Collaborative Play: The dual-sided design allows multiple children to play together, promoting teamwork, communication and shared decision-making.
- Enhances Sensory Exploration: Water, sand and natural materials provide rich sensory experiences that support tactile learning and curiosity.
- Builds Fine Motor Skills; Using pumps, jugs, funnels and accessories strengthens hand coordination and control.
- Supports Early Maths Concepts: Pouring and measuring water introduces ideas such as volume, capacity and comparison in a practical, visual way.
- Promotes Environmental Awareness: The water recycling system encourages sustainable thinking, showing children how resources can be reused.
